1) Can the benefits of a full tank of 100+ octane be duplicated by the right mixture of 91 and 100+? Sort of. Its all about boost pressure...and what your detonation threshold is. In other words NO you wont be able to run 25 PSI on a mix....but maybe 20....its all dependant on the car and set-up 2) What is the highest tolerable octane level (i.e. 100, 111, 116 octane) an internally ported and polished (Extrude Honed) VG30DETT can handle? well....thats several questions. First off porting and all that other crap have nothing to do with it. I suggest if you want to know more about this subject you do a search. I run 116 LEADED as my race set-up. 100 octain or mix as my street set-up. Octain does not work in the way you may be thinking. And as you have aftermarket turbos you NEED to understand this stuff. Do some searching my brutha. You'll find it all there 3) Does anyone have any high octane horror stories? No...why would they....higher octain is a GOOD thing. It wards off detonation. You'll hear plenty of LOW octain stories though....most of them dont realize it though,
